Talk about a whale of a time!

Stacy Keibler, husband Jared Pobre, and their daughter Ava Grace visited Heal the Bay’s Santa Monica Pier Aquarium this weekend. On a tour led by the aquarium’s education director Nick Fash, the family learned all about the different marine life that live in the Santa Monica Bay.

Unsurprisingly, Ava was all smiles throughout the trip. Outfitted in a pink-and-gray dress with white sandals and sporting the most adorable of pigtails, the 21-month-old toddled around the aquarium, waving at creatures in tanks and even getting to pet some of the animals — including a shark!

While little Ava may have been the star on the sea-life-focused outing, Keibler, 36, looked every bit the excited and fun mom in a white dress, casual gray jacket and floppy red hat.

“Being a mom is the most important job I’ve ever had, but being a full-time mom means more to me than anything in the world right now,” the actress and former WWE Diva told PEOPLE in February 2015 of why she wasn’t going to hire a nanny to help look after Ava.

Aside from experiencing a memorable day with her husband and daughter at the aquarium, all that walking around was likely a bonus for the fit mom, who expressed in the past how she stayed in shape both during and after her pregnancy.

Pregnant or not, fitness doesn’t have to be daunting,” she wrote on her website in December 2014, a few months after Ava was born. “Simply incorporating a walk into your day, whether short or long, can help your body feel a connection to your mind, which is a powerful thing.”
