“[I’m] so close [to giving birth],” she told PEOPLE on Tuesday at the season 2 launch party of Popples in Los Angeles. “I’m in my final two months.”
While she’s more than ready to be a family of six, Frye, 39, says “everybody thinks we’re insane!”
“When I was a little girl, I used to tell my mom I wanted 100 kids,” she explains. “Then as an adult, I thought that our family was so big with three. Then we have this amazing, incredible surprise with four, and I’m just so thrilled and excited and literally cannot believe it.”
Frye and Goldberg are opting not to find out the sex — but they are taking bets. As for a name?
“We’ve gotta come up with something really amazing because we have a lot to live up to now,” she explained to PEOPLE at the event, which also attracted the likes of celebrity moms Molly Sims and Jamie-Lynn Sigler.
The actress’ own moniker has been up for debate recently at home. After finally showing her children photos from the first season of her ’80s sitcom Punky Brewster, Frye says her character’s name stuck with Lyric.
“They had only seen a few seconds on YouTube and all of their friends had seen it and they said, ‘Mom this is not fair. Our friends have watched it,’ so I finally let them watch it,” she says.
“The best thing was that my son, who we thought was not paying attention, afterwards decided to start calling me Punky Brewster.”
She shares, laughing, “So he says, ‘Punky Brewster, take a walk. Punky Brewster, get the car.’ I can’t stop him now. I’m just thinking that everywhere I go people are thinking I’m making my children call me that!”
Until she becomes “Mom” again, Frye says she’s focused on “praying for a healthy baby and for a healthy duration of the pregnancy.”
“I’m just really, really excited,” the actress says. “I feel like if you have so many [kids], it’s our mission to raise them to be amazing people to help change the world. So that’s my goal!”
