And while it’s a little early to tell whether the family’s newest addition takes more after Mom or Dad, Frye definitely already notices some similarities between Story and her husband of 17 years, producer Jason Goldberg.
“I think he has the Zen nature of my husband for sure,” Frye says. “I feel like he’s got this old soul … from the minute he was born and looked at me, I was like, ‘Wow, he looks like he’s really got a mission here.’ “
She adds, “He just had this very deep look in his eyes of, ‘I’m here, I’m happy to be here, you’re my family, I got this.’ That was his personality.”

Frye has four children total: newest addition Story, as well as 2-year-old son Lyric Sonny Roads and daughters Poet Sienna Rose, 10, and Jagger Joseph Blue, 8. And while it’s not always easy having to carry out parenting duties to four kids, she admits she’s very lucky that her daughters are willing to help out.
“They’re both the best big sisters. They totally take care of Lyric, they totally take care of Story,” the fit mama says. “They’re changing diapers with me, they’re up at night helping me and they’re just amazing. I can’t imagine doing it without them.”
The Sabrina, the Teenage Witch alum also feels extremely fortunate to have a happy, healthy family full of varying personalities.
“My sweet Poet is incredible. She’s becoming a little activist and going after things she cares about,” Frye shares of her oldest child. “She has such a huge heart and is constantly giving to other people and sharing with others, and she’s just an incredible kid.”
Of her second child, the actress and businesswoman says, “Jagger is my little adventurer and she’s always up for a journey. She wants the crazy, wild experiences in life, and she also has a heart of gold and [is] so caring.”
And Lyric — a.k.a. “Roadie,” who is the “life of the party,” according to his mom — is the entertainer of the family.
“He’s so funny. He always wants to make people laugh, he dances around, performs like crazy,” she says. “He is running around and just causing total craziness everywhere he goes. It’s fantastic.”

Luckily, Lyric is already proving to be a proud big brother and showing few signs of jealousy over no longer being the only boy — not to mention having to give up the coveted spot of baby of the family.
“I was nervous about how my 2-year-old was going to react to this new baby coming in because he’s still so young, and he’s been awesome,” she says. “The kids came to the hospital and he ran over and jumped up on the hospital bed, [saying] ‘Cute baby! I love you, baby, I love you!’ “
Perhaps one of the most rewarding parts of parenthood for Frye is seeing how her daughters are already contributing so greatly to the world around them.
“To be able to see my 10-year-old become such an advocate in the world and to see my 8-year-old wanting to do so much good and [have] such kindness makes me feel really, really fortunate, and I’m just so excited to see who they grow into,” the proud mom explains.
“I get emotional — I just had a baby, so I get very emotional — but they’re constantly evolving, and getting to see all those different steps is so incredible.”
