Craft time can get very messy in Soleil Moon Frye‘s household, but it’s a chaos the mom of four happily embraces.
“I’m all about inspiring creativity in my kids and really trying to get their hands messy and dirty and inspire them to have fun and play,” says the former Punky Brewster actress and Seedling co-founder, 40.
With two daughters, Poet Sienna Rose, 11, and Jagger Joseph Blue, 8, and two young sons, Lyric Sonny Roads, 2, and 3-month-old Story, Frye (who is married to producer Jason Goldberg) loves crafting as a family.
“I believe in them really exploring their creativity on their own, but also together,” she says. “It’s something we love doing together. We love taking anything that’s reusable in our house and turning it into a craft project. We have so much fun when we get messy.”

Frye’s girls love making crowns and princess wands, while Lyric just likes to get messy. “We are always covered in glitter and paint,” she says. “Usually I go out with paint all over me.”
The star’s house is also packed to the brim with her childrens’ art projects, and she wouldn’t have it any other way.
“My husband might call me a little bit of a hoarder, but I always say that they’re meaningful,” she says. “I have bins and bins and walls and walls of artwork and treasures. I just think everything’s so beautiful and amazing!”
