The soccer star welcomes a baby boy with an unidentified woman

It’s a boyyyyyyyyy!

Soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo announced on Saturday that he is a proud new papa.

“It is with great joy and emotion that I inform I have recently become father to a baby boy,” the Team Portugal player writes on his Facebook page.

The identity of the baby’s mother has not been revealed, and Ronaldo, 25 – who was once linked with Kim Kardashian and counts nearly 6.5 million fans on the social networking site – says that he will he will raise the boy on his own.

“As agreed with the baby’s mother, who prefers to have her identity kept confidential,” he writes, “my son will be under my exclusive guardianship.”

A spokesman at Gestifute, which manages Ronaldo’s career, confirms: “It’s all true but we don’t want to say any more.”

The spokesman says that all Ronaldo – whose World Cup run is over and will next be seen playing soccer for Real Madrid in Spain – wanted to say was up on Facebook.
