Expecting her first child has "made me grow up a lot," the reality star says
Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi may be best known for her carefree, club-hopping ways, but the Jersey Shore star – who recently confirmed that she and fiancé Jionni LaValle are expecting their first child – says that having a baby on the way has changed her.
“I guess [pregnancy] just made me more mature, Polizzi, 24, told reporters while promoting her new MTV show Snooki & JWoww Thursday in New York City.
Joined by Jenni “JWoww” Farley and Jersey Shore cast mate DJ Pauly D, the reality star explained just how much her behavior has been altered.
“It’s different because now I’m not drinking,” Polizzi notes. “I’m usually partying and going to clubs but pregnancy made me grow up a lot.”
Her best friend agrees: “[Nicole] really came into her own being pregnant. Looking at your best friend and seeing that you feel proud, said Farley, 26.
Premiering June 21 on MTV, Snooki & JWoww follows Polizzi during her first trimester – during which she barely suffered from morning sickness. “I hardly threw up,” she notes. “I was just very tired and cranky.”
But she’s done with her signature “Whaaa” whine. “My baby will take over that sound,” she says. “I can’t wait!
Polizzi said her beloved pickles are a thing of the past, as well. The petite star’s newest cravings are “a lot of fruits and Italian icies no pickles.
Lastly, she s given up the glow. Known for her signature bronze complexion, Polizzi admits, “I haven’t tanned since August.”
