Inside Sean and Catherine Giudici Lowe's Son Samuel's Modern Nursery
Sean and Catherine Giudici Lowe give a peek into their 4-month-old son Samuel Thomas' nursery
“Since we won’t be finding out gender (and it’s our style regardless), I think it’s a good idea to keep it all neutral — whites, creams, light [grays] — with lots of texture and playful accents,” Giudici Lowe, 30, told New Arrivals owner Tori Swaim of her vision for the space in the couple’s Dallas, Texas, home.
In collaboration with Wayfair, the resulting room for their 4-month-old son features The Bachelor alums’ wishes all wrapped up in an animal-accented bundle, with whites, grays and creams playing the main role in the nursery’s color palette while including pops of color to make the space simultaneously cozy.

Swaim gave the room a “retro touch” with the colors chosen, tapping into a Pinterest board created by Giudici Lowe for inspiration. She used a soft gray for the walls, with khaki and cream accents throughout with the curtains, carpet, Hailey Swivel Glider and Polar Bear Faux Fur Shag rug for a crisp feel.
To offset the neutrality, the Lowes opted for wooden accents and throw pillows with hints of teal and orange. Four Wayfair animal prints above Samuel’s convertible crib feature different colors that pop from the muted walls, but are still gentle enough to encourage the room’s tranquil vibe.

The couple also went for the Dalmatian Spots Crib Bedding set, which was actually designed by Swaim and Giudici Lowe, specifically for its spin on unisex décor and comfort. The spotted patterns on the crib sheet and Sherpa-fabric baby blanket contrast in a whimsical way to the striped crib skirt.
And of course, zoo animals are featured heavily throughout the space aside from above Samuel’s sleeping spot. The Gray Owl Baby Mobile, stuffed critters and animal-themed books lining the Wayfair Leaning White Ladder Shelf tie the room’s theme together.
“The Lowe’s were such a pleasure to work with!” Swaim said of the experience.
