Scott Disick wasn’t with his daughter, Penelope, on Wednesday as she celebrated her third birthday, but he sent her a heartfelt message on Instagram.

Posting a collage of six pics of his little girl, he captioned the post simply, “1 of the only things I’m proud off about myself. Happybdayp.”

Disick, who split with longtime girlfriend Kourtney Kardashian over the July 4 weekend after pics surfaced of him getting cozy with another woman in Monte Carlo, was 2,700 miles away from his family as Penelope celebrated her birthday.

While Kardashian, 36, took their daughter and two sons – Mason, 5, and Reign, 6 months – on a trip to Disneyland, Disick was across the country in Boca Raton, Florida.

A source told PEOPLE on Tuesday that Disick had refused to go home to his family after photos surfaced of him partying with stylist Chloe Bartoli in Monaco.

Disick’s tribute to his daughter followed a post earlier on Wednesday of a car that he wants, along with the caption “need this ASAP.”
