Sara Rue introduces her daughter Adelaide exclusively with PEOPLE
The holidays will be extra special for Sara Rue and her family this year.
The Impastor star, 37, and her husband, Kevin Price, 41, recently adopted a baby girl, her rep confirms exclusively to PEOPLE.
Adelaide Rue Price was born in mid-October and “is doing really wonderful,” says Rue, who also has a 3-year-old daughter, Talulah. “She’s so strong and she’s spending a lot of time tucked up to my body. It’s been a really cozy, wonderful time in our house.”
Opting for an open adoption with Adelaide’s birth mother, the second-time parents always knew they wanted to adopt some day. “It’s just something that felt right to both of us,” says Rue, who struggled to conceive a second child.
“We got to a point where we really had to make a choice, and it was a pretty easy decision. We just wanted another child to complete our family, and it really didn’t matter where she came from as long we were her mom and dad.”
Rue — who was in the delivery room when Adelaide was born — was the first person to hold her new daughter and introduced Talulah to her baby sister over FaceTime.

“We said, ‘We want you to meet somebody!’ The smile on her face … I wish I had recorded it. It was the most precious, heartwarming, wonderful moment,” recalls Rue. “She’s going to be such a great big sister. She is so sweet with her and just wants to kiss her and hug her.”
And though Rue and Price are low on sleep these days, the couple is savoring all of Adelaide’s milestones and enjoying being a family of four.
“Bliss comes close,” says Rue of bringing home her new daughter. “There was this calmness, and I was so grateful and just felt so full of joy and hope for the future of our family.”
