Ronnie Wood isn’t slacking off in the dad department.

The Rolling Stones guitarist is “the burper, walker, nappy changer and I’m still trying to work out when I can get to sleep in between all that,” he told Hello! magazine in a new interview introducing his newborn twin girls, Gracie Jane and Alice Rose.

“I have played the guitar to them and when I get round to it I will do some drawings,” Wood, 69, said.

He’s sharing more of his musical world than just his instrument, he said: “Mick [Jagger] popped in on the third day” after the twins were born in late May.

“He couldn’t wait to see them, I put one in each arm and took a photo,” Wood said.

Wife Sally, 38, told Hello! that the delivery was a tearful scene.

“Ronnie cut the cords and we just held our babies and looked at their little faces,” she said. “We both cried. You are just so happy and emotional, the tears are just there. Ronnie is so completely committed to being a dad, helping me, looking after us all.”

The days since have been happy ones.

“At the moment I’m just soaking up every moment we have,” Ronnie said. “I have Sally, I have my beautiful family and I have two little gorgeous dolly girls. All I can think is that someone up there really likes me.”

Ronnie has four children from his previous marriage, and 10 grandchildren.
