JUST A BITE
Talk about fancy rice krispy treats! Dolled up with candied baby bottles, pacifiers and slippers on top, these sweet bites from Treat House were a big hit.
Rock Paper Scissors styled the laid-back event, which featured a delicious spread and beautiful flower bouquets inside the restaurant.
Guests channelled their inner-child with props galore for the photo booth. “It made for some great Instagram photo ops,” says Minkoff, who is due in August. “How fun!”
“I have more energy which I’m surprised about. I guess I’m not as nervous because I know exactly what’s going to happen,” says Minkoff who happily poses with Bellour. The couple are also parents to son Luca Shai, 2½.
A tray of assorted Gouda is a fun play on the baby’s nickname. “One day I asked [my son Luca] what he wanted to name his baby sister and he said Gouda! I don’t know where he got it from but she’s been Gouda ever since,” Minkoff explains. As for the baby’s real name? “We’re keeping it a secret.”
Yum! Guests dined on both deliciously indulgent and healthy bites prepared by the Fitzcarraldo restaurant staff.
BEER & BUBBLY
What’s a party without drinks? Partygoers sipped Veuve Clicquot champagne, Peroni beer and Belvedere Bloody Marys at the bash. “I was told to not worry about anything,” she told PEOPLE before the event. “I’m letting it happen.”
Friends matter! “I thought it would be more fun to have everyone I love in one room, men and women and it would be a bit more of a modern baby shower,” she says of having a joint shower with husband Bellour.
A pretty pink-frosted cake, as well as assorted cupcakes and donuts from Babycakes were the only hint to the pending arrival of Minkoff’s little girl. “I’m excited to be able to celebrate with my friends to do something nice and begin to think about her because I’ve been working a lot,” says the designer.
These simple yet sweet Minted purple-gray invites were sent to guests before the celebration.
“A few of my girlfriends I’m so thankful for – they threw me the most magical baby shower!” says Minkoff, who goofs off with some of her gal pals, including Girls star Zosia Mamet. “Everything was so beautiful,” gushes Minkoff to PEOPLE.
