Country Singer Randy Rogers' Daughter Dies 6 Days After Her Birth
The country singer's newborn daughter, Rumer Rain, died in the arms of her family on Tuesday
A week after country singer Randy Rogers announced the birth of his daughter on Twitter, he took to social media again to reveal some sad news: the newborn had passed away.
Rumer Rain Rogers – the second daughter of Rogers and his wife, Chelsea – died on Tuesday. She was only six days old.
The Randy Rogers Band frontman gave more details about the tragic news on the band’s Facebook page Wednesday:
“Rumer Rain Rogers, daughter of Randy and Chelsea Rogers, passed away last night at Seton Memorial Hospital in Austin, Texas,” the post read.
“Rumer died of natural causes, in her parents loving arms, just days after her birth. During this time of grieving, the family asks that individuals wishing to offer condolences make a donation to the children’s charity of their choosing. The family thanks you for your love and support.”
Rogers also shared the news with the band’s Twitter followers, writing: “We are sad to say that Rumer Rain Rogers passed away last night. She was well loved, well cared for and in her parents loving arms.”
The band was scheduled to play in Texas on Friday, but cancelled the show on Wednesday in light of the news.
