Rachel Weisz's tips for losing the baby weight - nursing and Pilates
Oscar winning actress Rachel Weisz, 35, was interview by People last Thursday evening at a British Academy of Film and Television Arts event, and was asked what her secret was for losing her baby weight since the birth of son Henry Chance, now 5 months.
However, she says she doesn’t have a secret, saying, "I don’t really have a magic potion or pill…I do Pilates. Nursing burns a lot of calories, 500 calories a day. So, if I could help promote breast-feeding, that would be a good way."
"I was seven months pregnant when I won the Academy Award! Really, since then, I’ve just been a mom, mainly. It’s the most ultimate honor you can get. But I had to duck out of the rat race for a bit and be Mom."
Yet, Rachel’s also been quite busy since mid-summer – balancing the challenges of being a mom (click here to read about Henry’s hernia surgery) while going back to work. Rachel’s already filmed a bit part in My Blueberry Nights, and is now filming her first larger role since giving birth, a part in the ensemble film Definitely, Maybe. Of the working mom experience, Rachel says, "I have respect for all working moms out there, because it’s definitely a complicated balancing act, which millions of women are doing all the time…But I’m part of that club now."
