The family, which includes the royal couple’s son, Prince Christian Valdemar Henri John, 2, is planning a visit to China for the opening of the Olympic Games in Beijing on August 8. In an effort to support Denmark’s bid to join the Olympic committee in 2009, Frederik will stay throughout the entire Olympic games. Reportedly, Mary will then be traveling with the two children to Tasmania where they will stay until Frederik rejoins his family at the end of August. Mary grew up in Hobart, Tasmania, Australia. This will be the second trip to Tasmania for Christian. Mary and Frederik brought Christian for a visit to meet extended family in November 2006 when he was one year old. Source: Hello!
