Pregnant Jenny Mollen Posts Nude Selfie, Reveals She Has Placenta Previa at 22 Weeks

Jenny Mollen has placenta previa.

The 38-year-old actress and author, who is currently expecting her second son with husband Jason Biggs, shared a nude bathroom selfie to Instagram Thursday, employing her signature humor to share the news with her followers.

“Wanna make out and talk about my placenta previa?” she captioned the shot, adding that she’s 22 weeks along in her pregnancy.

Placenta previa is a condition in which the placenta covers all or part of the cervix, and is the same one Tori Spelling dealt with when she was expecting her fourth child: son Finn Davey, now 4½.

“I stumbled to the bathroom, dizzy from losing so much blood. When I got there, I thought, ‘This is it,’ ” the actress told PEOPLE in October 2012 of a related episode she encountered at 20 weeks pregnant. “There was so much blood I thought, ‘I’m dying. Not just [losing] the baby, but I’m dying.’ ”

Mom of two Kim Kardashian West also had an issue with her placenta while pregnant with both her children, Saint and North: placenta accreta, which occurs when blood vessels and other parts of the placenta grow too deeply into the uterine wall and remain attached.

“She had a really tough birth because of the issues with her placenta,” a source told PEOPLE of the reality star following Saint’s arrival in December 2015, when a doctor had to scrape out her placenta by hand.
