Always searching for that "perfect baby book," I was excited to take a look at the "Mother Stork’s Baby Book." Originally published in 1904, this edition is a reprint of the original. It’s packaging is exquisite. It comes wrapped in acid-free tissue and tied with a gorgeous ribbon. It also includes a special acid-free gel-pen and acid-free photo corners that will prolong the life of the book.

Each page includes softly colored illustrations original to the first edition — they are old-fashioned and classic. What I found so interesting about each page and entry is how much insight it gives into what it must have been like to be a parent in the early 1900s, yet how little has changed in parenting! Some things don’t change: there’s still the first milestones to record, and a first footprint is still a first footprint. Scattered throughout the entry pages are cherished old poems from favorites such as Lewis Carroll.

Courteney Cox owns the Mother’s Stork Baby Book and thinks it’s great!

This book retails for $135.00 and would make a cherished heirloom for a grandmother or mother to give to a granddaughter/first-time-mother – or to give a friend who appreciates history! It can be purchased on Use coupon code "mommieswithstyle", expires June 30, 2005.
