NBA Finals to coincide with birth of second son for LeBron James
LeBron James is poised to have a very, very big month. The All-Star forward for the Cleveland Cavaliers is about to become a father again — with fiance Savannah Brinson due to deliver the couple’s second son on June 17 — and LeBron will play in the NBA finals for the first time, with his team facing off against the San Antonio Spurs tonight in game 1. That so much is happening at once for him personally and professionally is something LeBron deemed "great."
The couple, who welcomed son LeBron Jr. in 2004, are cognizant of the fact that it is unlikely LeBron could return to Ohio in time for the birth if Savannah went into labor while the Cavaliers are playing in Texas. According to LeBron, Savannah — who recently had to be taken from a playoff game on a stretcher for unknown medical reasons — "knows if there’s a possibility I can be there [for the birth], I will."
LeBron, raised by a single mother, said a desire to make his entire family proud is a big motivator for success.
