Celebrity Parents Michael Bublé: 'It's Like an Academy Award' When Your Kid Is Potty Trained The singer happily announced to an audience at an event that his 2-year-old son went "caca" by himself for the first time that day By Staff Author Updated on December 3, 2020 04:35 AM Share Tweet Pin Email Trending Videos Christmas may still be around the corner, but Michael Bublé‘s son, Noah, has already given him a great gift. “Yesterday was a huge day,” Bublé, 40, tells PEOPLE of his 2-year-old son’s latest (and greatest, in his opinion) milestone. “[Noah] made his first caca in the toilet. I know it sounds crazy to say that, but if it’s your kid, it’s like an Academy Award.” In fact, the moment was so notable that Bublé made a proud potty PSA during his event at the Natural History Museum that night — after all, it was a night to go down in history. “I went and I told the audience my big news,” jokes Bublé, who will also be entertaining a crowd during his Christmas in Hollywood special airing Dec. 10 on NBC at 8 P.M. ET/PT. The singer and his Argentinean actress wife are heavily anticipating the birth of their baby boy, and Bublé says, “there’s no way to prepare.” “We didn’t know what we were doing the first time and we’re having a great time and we just wanna keep doing it,” he says. That’s ‘Noah’s baby,’ and he grabbed it by its feet and smashed it and poked its eyes, so we’re not sure about that.” But, hey, boys will be boys. “He’s a boy!” jokes Bublé. “He wants to play soccer and hockey and he wants to sing with Papa — that’s what he wants.” For more from Bublé on his expanding family, pick up this week’s issue of PEOPLE, on newsstands now. — Nicole Sands
