I used to love the nursing tank tops at Target, but sometime between babies they redesigned them and they’re not my favorites anymore. Fortunately Medela just released some great new nursing camisoles ($40).

They come in black or white and are made from a blend of bamboo and cotton fibers so they’re super soft and comfy. They have a bit of support in the hidden shelf bra and the cups drop down easily with one-hand releases. The top is trimmed with pretty lace, and the best part? They’re long enough to cover up the squishy bits that remain after baby arrives. (Why on earth aren’t all nursing tops a little longer all around? A mystery for sure!)

They’re not really appropriate to wear alone because the little fasteners on the straps show, plus the lace tends to gap a little, revealing some cleavage. But they’re perfect for under a sweater or for sleeping, especially if you need nursing pads to stay in place overnight.

If you’re a serious pumper you’ll be pleased to learn that the new camisoles are compatible with Medela’s Freestyle Breast Pump ($380), which means you can actually attach the pump to yourself and update your Facebook status with both hands while pumping. It just won a JPMA Innovation Award, too! We’re so proud. Just try not to chuckle at the company’s photo of the woman in a business suit pumping at her desk while seemingly solving America’s economic crisis.
