Dogs are a girl’s best friend.
Mark Zuckerberg‘s 10-month-old daughter Max is reaching milestones, and like every other parent, he’s documenting it all on social media — Facebook, of course.
On Wednesday, the Facebook CEO shared an adorable photo of Max with the family’s pet dog, Beast, sure to rack up likes. To make things even more adorable, the first-time dad revealed that Max said her first word inspired by her canine pal.
“Max loves Beast,” Zuckerberg captioned the shot. “Her first word: dog.”
Zuckerberg, 32, and his wife Dr. Priscilla Chan welcomed Max in November 2015. She is the first child for the couple.
Since his daughter’s birth, the Facebook founder has been a hands-on dad, taking the baby to her first swimming lesson as well as making sure she’s a huge Star Wars fan.
The proud new parents have also announced the foundation of the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, an organization with the mission to advance human potential and promote equality.
In an open letter to their daughter, the couple revealed they will contribute 99 percent of their Facebook shares — currently worth about $45 billion — during their lives to advance the cause, in addition to outlining their hopes for Max’s future.
“We need to make sure that there are investments and programs that ensure that the future isn’t going to be like today,” Chan said. “The future is going to be better than today.”
