The American Idol season 8 winner and his wife Katy welcomed their second child, a girl, on Saturday, June 18, at 4:15 p.m., a rep for Allen confirms exclusively to PEOPLE. Rose Elizabeth Allen — whom the couple will call “Rosie” — was born in Nashville, Tennessee. She weighed 7 lbs., 10 oz., and measured 19 inches long. “Welcome to the world Rosie. Oh man…I am done. She’s already got me figured out I think,” the singer wrote on Instagram. “Excuse me while I go learn how to braid hair on YouTube for the next 13 years…cuz that’s how long it’s gonna take me. #itsagirl #rosie” Allen and Katy, who were married in 2008 and are already parents to 2½-year-old son Oliver Neil, announced the happy news in early January. We’re not putting a ton of pressure on it.” One mystery they did have to face? How Oliver would handle a new sibling. “We’re trying [to prepare him]. I don’t know if he completely understands it or if he’s gonna love it,” Allen said, laughing. “I think he might be a little jealous.” — Jen Juneau with reporting by Jeff Nelson
