“She has a computer of mine with all of these movies and music on it, and I was just using it, and I noticed the Photo Booth, there were all these selfies of her, that she doesn’t realize she’s taking, but she presses it, and it’s so funny,” the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star told reporters Friday at Variety’s Power of Women luncheon in New York. “So we do take lots of pictures together.”
And the E! star — whose stepdad, Bruce Jenner, revealed details of his transition from male to female in an exclusive interview with Diane Sawyer Friday night — has shared her penchant for self-portraits with more than just her and Kanye West‘s daughter: She was honored at the luncheon for her volunteer work at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.
“I think it’s really cute when you go and the girls, they ask for a selfie, and they say, ‘Will you post this on your Instagram?’ ” she told reporters. “It’s so funny to see the power of a selfie … As silly as that may seem, it really makes their day.”
Kardashian West, 34,would like her mother-daughter bond with North, 22 months, to mirror her close connection with mom Kris Jenner.
“I hope that I have the same relationship with her that I do with my mom and that she is my best friend and that she is just a strong, powerful woman and is very confident,” Kardashian West told PEOPLE. “My grandmothers and my mom all … just displayed a really strong work ethic, a strong family sense, and really instilled that within me and my sisters at a young age.”
When she’s not taking selfies, the Selfish author’s daughter is growing up more and more every day. “She’s getting so big. She says everything. She loves ballet, tap, she takes piano lessons,” Kardashian West said. “She’s very, very active, and she’s growing so big and so fast.”
