Dream Renée is a beauty maven in the making — she just has to work on her aim a little.

Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna‘s 2-year-old daughter had some colorful fun recently with her aunt Khloé Kardashian, experimenting with the Hot Tamale shade of lipstick from Khloé and BFF Malika Haqq‘s collaboration with BECCA Cosmetics.

Khloé’s Instagram Story from Wednesday night starts with the toddler looking straight into the camera as she continues to adorably apply the lipstick all around her mouth, even though the coverage is already more than substantial!

“Wow. I think you have enough on, mama,” says the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star, prompting Dream to turn and apply some of the color to her aunt’s mouth instead.

“How does it look?” Khloé, 34, asks before admiring her niece’s handiwork on camera.

“I think you missed a spot over here. You forgot to put some here,” Khloé says, pointing at the side of her mouth.

Dream takes her own route and hilariously applies the lipstick to her aunt’s chin, which causes the Good American designer to laugh and accept her fate. “Hm. Looks pretty good,” Khloé praises the youngster, nodding in approval.

The sweet clips come a week after a source revealed to PEOPLE that despite the ongoing issues between Rob, 31, and Chyna, 30, the father of one only wants what’s best for their little girl.

“Dream is the cutest little girl. She is very happy and so much fun to be around,” the insider told PEOPLE. “Rob’s family just wants Dream to be raised in the best way possible.”

According to the source, the Kardashian family is able to provide the “healthiest” environment for Dream. “Regardless of the issues that Rob is dealing with, it’s pretty clear that the environment that Rob and his family can offer Dream is the healthiest for her,” the insider said.

Still, Kardashian desires that his ex-fiancée — with whom he shares joint custody — and Dream have a thriving relationship.

“Rob always wanted Dream to spend time with her mom, too,” the source said. “He has never wanted Chyna to be cut out of Dream’s life. … But he also doesn’t want Dream to be raised by a nanny while her mom is off partying out of state.”

Amid the tension, Khloé has been happily doting on her niece. Late last month, the reality star took Dream and her own daughter True, 9 months, on an outing to show their appreciation for local firefighters at the Los Angeles County Fire Dept. Station 125 in Calabasas, California.

True looked too cute in a pink tutu and unicorn headband, while Dream wore a sweet overall-style yellow dress over a long-sleeve black ensemble. The cousins posed for multiple snapshots, wearing wide smiles as they perched on a truck’s front bumper, in the driver’s seat and more.

“Yesterday we took the girls to our local fire station,” Khloé wrote on her Instagram Story before sharing the adorable snapshots. “We wanted to say ‘Thank you’ to our local [heroes] for all they do for us!”

She went on in her post to share that True and Dream “drew cards and brought cookies for their visit” and “loved every moment,” ending her note by thanking the “brave service men and women.”
