Kevin Durand Welcomes Daughter Amélie Moon

The Strain star welcomed his first child on Sunday

It’s a girl!

Kevin Durand and wife Sandra Cho Durand welcomed their first child, daughter Amélie Moon Durand, on Sunday, Aug. 30, he announced via social media Monday.

The Strain star, 41, shared the news with an adorable black-and-white photo of father and daughter cuddling.

“My wife and I are so proud to announce that we became parents yesterday! Amélie Moon Durand is here! So grateful n Happy ? #loveandgoodnesstoall,” Durand captioned the image.

Durand, who is also known for his role as Martin on Lost, married his wife in October 2010.

Celebrity friends, including fellow actor Matt Bomer and former wrestler Robert Maillet, quickly sent the couple their congratulations, welcoming them to parenthood.

Durand later thanked everyone for their support, tweeting, “Thank you kindly for all the well wishes. We are so grateful for all the love. Xoxo.”
