Washington and former San Francisco 49ers cornerback Asomugha were married in July 2013, and announced their second child was on the way in April. The actress, 39, made her baby bump debut at the Met Gala in May, wearing a sequined Marc Jacobs gown and sporting purple tresses. Since then, the stylish Washington has been snapped in a variety of baby bump-friendly outfits, from designers like Giambattista Valli and Brandon Maxwell. “Big coats, big bags … hiding behind different body parts of other actors,” she told Ellen DeGeneres in September about how the crew was helping her get creative with hiding her bump on the Scandal set. She also noted that she and her husband chose not to find out the sex of their second child — or share the names they had picked out. “We’re hoping for a human,” she joked to DeGeneres, adding that the name “Ellen” was “at the top of the list.” E! News was the first to report the birth.
