Kate Hudson on her son and her celebrity parents

While speaking with OK about her current film, You, Me & Dupree, actress Kate Hudson talked about how in awe she is of her two-and-a-half year old son Ryder Russell, with her hubby, rocker Chris Robinson.

"He’s talking up a storm," she said. "He’s obsessed with Peter Pan right now. The other day, my girlfriend and I were talking and he looks at me and says, ‘Girls talk too much!’ That’s what Peter Pan says to [Wendy], and he picked up on it, I’m like, ‘You’re two and half years old, dammit!’ Watching him discover his mind is fantastic."

Kate, herself, has experience being a celebrity baby that she will be able to pass on to her son. She is the daughter of movie star Goldie Hawn and the stepdaughter of actor Kurt Russell, who she considers her father.

Kate said one of her favorite things about her parents was their ability to let her make her own mistakes. Responding to Kate’s marriage at the young age of 21, Kate reminisced about her dad’s response, "Pa goes, ‘I’m never worried about Kate. I’m more worried about the guy who marries Kate.’ I love that because that shows he has confidence in his daughter."
