The supermodel took some time to visit All Souls Friday Soup Kitchen on Friday, where she joined celebrity chef Rocco DiSpirito and other volunteers to prepare food for those in need. The model and mom, who’s been involved with Feeding America for several years, loves how rewarding it is.
“It just makes you feel good,” she told PEOPLE. “Everybody is doing it with love and that’s what’s beautiful and important.”
“He loves his little brother,” she said about Tobin. “Noah knows his voice, he looks at Tobin and his big brother is always all over him. At the beginning, I had to always be like, ‘Okay, you’re a little too close!’ ”
The family has been spending most of their time in Florida, where Tobin recently started school.
“It’s been really nice for Tobin being a boy and having the outdoor space, the space and freedom where we live,” she said of their Florida home. “He can just run around and go swimming and do all the sports. So it’s really nice.”
Kurková recently made waves when she posted a photo of baby Noah breastfeeding, but she doesn’t understand the shock and awe surrounding the picture.
“It was just a picture I took and I just thought it was such a beautiful picture,” she said. “My mission wasn’t like, ‘It’s going to be a big thing.’ I wanted to share that picture and celebrate women who are breastfeeding because I know that it’s not always easy.”
She said she’s received a lot of positive messages from fans via social media, thanking her for her support and encouragement.
“It’s not always fun and it’s not always easy,” she said of breastfeeding. “It’s very tiring, it’s a lot on your body, you have to make sure you eat a lot, drink water, get enough sleep … my mission wasn’t to create this whole campaign, but I feel good about that.”
