There’s a new guy in town: Jacqueline Piñol is a mom!
The Bordertown star welcomed her first child, a baby boy, with husband Jonny Blu on Monday, Feb. 22, her rep confirms to PEOPLE exclusively.
Son Atlas Blu weighed in at 8 lbs., and measured 20.5 inches.
“Our Baby Blu is here to have a life full of adventures with us and his four canine siblings — our two pit bulls and two pugs,” the proud new parents tell PEOPLE.
Although the actress, 36, and Blu, a singer and songwriter, have had plenty of parenting practice with their pups, Piñol admitted the “empowering experience” of a pregnancy was a complete surprise.
“I never thought I would feel this way or be so in touch with who I am or as intuitive as I have been these months, but it has brought so much more joy to my life,” she told the Huffington Post. “A human is growing inside me! My own hubby said he was a little envious that he’d never know what that was really like. And he should be. Women are powerhouses!”
Piñol — who lends her voice as Pepito Gonzalez on the animated series — will next star in season 2 of Amazon’s Bosch.
