If Jessica Simpson‘s adorable Instagrams make you feel part of her family, it’s time for an update from the doting mom of two.

During an appearance on The Tonight Show on Tuesday, the fashion mogul, 35, opened up about her little ones, Maxwell Drew, 3, and Ace Knute, 2.

When host Jimmy Fallon held up a cute photo of the brother and sister swimming, Simpson smiled while saying how “they look like their daddy,” former NFL player Eric Johnson, 35.

The singer-turned-fashion star gave Fallon a preview of what antics his kids might pull as they mature, including “pooping in the grass, not the diaper.” She also warned the comedian about guarding his phone.

“They’re better at technology than I am,” Simpson admits. “Not that I’m ever good at it, but they take over people’s phones and somehow find the pictures not to post. Very smart children.”

As if her tech prowess isn’t enough, Maxwell has already outpaced her famous mom in the horseback riding ring. “She just started lessons,” Simpson shares. “She’s 3 years old, and she is completely fearless. I mean, how adorable is she on [the horse]?”

Then Fallon shared a picture of Maxwell riding like a pro, saying it wasn’t your average candid snap. “Doesn’t it look like a Ralph Lauren ad?” Simpson jokes. “I mean, I should say Jessica Simpson Collection ad.”

As it turns out, Maxwell is taking after the fashionable star in the shoe department. “She is wearing her first heels, which is very impressive,” Simpson says of the photo. “She’s like, ‘Like Mama!’ but I won’t get on a horse. It’s a huge fear. I’m from Texas and everyone thinks I ride but I don’t!”

Simpson’s hilarious interview comes at the tail end of the star’s exciting summer, which included a cute night date with her husband in August and a fabulous birthday celebration in St. Barts in July.
