Riley Mesnick's Super Sweet 1st Birthday Bash
PRETTY IN PINK
Jason and Molly Mesnick's daughter Riley (who turned 1 on March 14) sure is growing up fast! "She loves to dance!" Molly tells PEOPLE. "The minute we turn on Pharell's "Happy," she goes nuts."
Jenny Keller from Jenny Cookies whipped up ice cream cone, sundae and number one shaped cookies in pretty pastels that matched the party's decor. "The majority of our guests were adults, so I wanted to stay away from a character theme, rather I chose a color scheme," the new mom explains. "I've always loved mint green, so I used that to accent with black and white as well!"
CHALK IT UP
The prop-filled photo booth was a huge hit. "Since Riley is so young, I knew she wouldn't remember anything about her party," says Molly. "I thought the photo booth was a fun way to capture memories from the party and show her photos of everyone who came out to celebrate her big day!"
DRESS UP TIME
Jason and Molly, who recently celebrated their fourth wedding anniversary, didn't miss a chance to take a pic at the party. So what did the couple do for their anniversary? "This year, we all went out for dinner, as a family, to celebrate."
"My thoughts were to have kids food with an adult twist!" says Molly of the menu that included lollipop pigs in a blanket, truffle mac n cheese and mini grilled cheese triangles. "Blue Ribbon Cooking took that idea and created an incredible menu!"
IN GOOD COMPANY
Among the 100 guests were Bachelorette couple and close friends Desiree Hartstock and fiancé Chris Siegfried. "The Bachelor family is so close!" says Molly. "We all have gone through this crazy experience that most people can't relate to, so it instantly bonds us together. They are honestly two of the nicest people we've ever met."
Jason gives his little girl a taste of her mint green cake, while mom cheers on. "I make a point, everyday, to put my phone away, turn the computer off and just play with Riley. She's growing up so fast, and I don't want to miss a minute of it!"
Talk about a sugar high! "The dessert table by Jenny Cookies, was honestly the highlight of the party," says Molly of the ice cream cone-shaped cake pops, Rice Krispie treat popsicles and more. "It was all so cute!"
It looks like the birthday girl is having a good time. "Riley is starting to develop a silly side where she giggles and makes funny faces," says Molly. "It's so fun to just sit and watch her!"
