Jerry O'Connell 'Excited' for Twins' N.Y.C. Holiday Experience
"There is so much for kids to do, especially during the holiday season, here in New York. There's the Rockettes [and] the Radio City Spectacular," O'Connell, 37, tells PEOPLE.
It will be a real winter wonderland this year for Jerry O’Connell and Rebecca Romijn‘s twin daughters.
The couple have settled with their girls — Charlie Tamara Tulip and Dolly Rebecca Rose, 3 — in New York for the holidays and the actor, who is performing on Broadway in Seminar, couldn’t be more excited.
“There is so much for kids to do, especially during the holiday season, here in New York. There’s the Rockettes [and] the Radio City Spectacular,” O’Connell, 37, tells PEOPLE.
“I grew up in New York and I just think it’s such a fun experience for kids. I’m so excited that my daughters are going to get to experience that.”
And while the sisters are sure to see snow during their stay on the East Coast, O’Connell reveals it won’t be a first for his California kids.
“While we do live in L.A., we took them up to the mountains once when it was snowing and we went tubing,” he shares. “They loved it so it will be a lot of fun for them to have a New York experience.”
Having raised the twins in “exactly the same way,” O’Connell is the first to admit that the stark contrast between their budding personalities has been truly “amazing” for the parents to witness.
“They’ve done everything together. I think once or twice, if my wife or I had to go to the supermarket, we said, ‘Who wants to go to the supermarket?’ and only one of them said, ‘I want to go,'” he explains.
“That’s the only time they’ve really been apart from each other, but one wants to be a cowboy, the other wants to be a princess.”
