Gwyneth Paltrow’s Jane Powertwin ($539) double strollers for children Apple Martin, 3, and Moses Martin, 14 months, are twice as nice. Gwyneth liked the stroller so much that she got two of them – one for England and one for New York.

We tested this stroller out and especially love the compact fold and portability. It’s one of the lightest weight doubles on the market at 30 lbs. The oval shaped aluminum frame is extremely sturdy and folds easily. Wheels pop off making the stroller even smaller and easy to fit in almost any car.

We also love that the Jane Powertwin works for children from birth on up. The rear seat folds entirely flat for newborns and the stroller is rated to carry up to 100 pounds of kid. The handle bar adjusts up for dads and taller moms and the rotating front wheel makes it a dream to push. The steering is tight, unlike many doubles that can feel like a tank.

The Jane Powertwin rolls easily on trails thanks to the air filled wheels, which do lock in place for joggers. However this stroller really shines in the city or mall where it easily negotiates through single entry doorways and won’t draw dirty looks for blocking traffic while you wait in line at Starbucks. It is even narrow enough to negotiate the sharp turns around the crowded sale racks in our favorite little boutiques.

The Powertwin has especially padded head rests that a sleeping toddler is sure to appreciate. This is great for mom too – more time to shop!
