Gwyneth Paltrow on life before Apple
Actress Gwyneth Paltrow has said she now knows the real meaning of happiness since having her 16-month old baby Apple. "I feel very lucky and I understand the value of life better. I love my family and I feel very content," she has said.
Gwyneth says she feels completely changed, "It’s changed the way I see the world – I feel like it’s even changed my DNA. She’s such a good girl and so reasonable. I’ve never ever raised my voice or lost my patience with her once." Gwyneth talks about life before husband of two years Chris Martin with some regret, "I made the mistake of working too much and it turned out to be really the wrong thing. I just had a lot of life in 10 years. I worked so much for so long. I achieved a lot early, but I wasn’t very happy. At this point in my life, I have a real life."
Gwyneth has always had strong family values, she was very close to her late father, Bruce, and is constantly visiting her mother Blythe when in the US. She also believes she is lucky to have good in-laws, "You hear terrible stories about mothers-in-law but mine is so fantastic and loving … I also have four sibling in-laws who are all incredibly different from each other and incredibly interesting and wonderful." Gwyneth makes sure to emphasize that Apple is her main priority, "She’s a very centred, happy little girl. She’s lovely and I feel so lucky to have her. It’s a good time in my life. It’s like I won the Lottery. I feel very blessed."
