“He ties my shoes for me — it’s hard to bend over,” the model, 30, told PEOPLE Sunday as she and Legend stepped out at Clive Davis’ Pre-Grammy Gala in Beverly Hills. “We are almost at the point where he will have to shave my legs for me.”
Teigen sported a green, form-fitting Galvan dress — “It’s a color that I really hadn’t worn before and it’s hard to find a good fabric right now” — topped with vintage Cartier Paris earrings to the event. Both she and Legend, who wore a simply black suit and tie, cradled Teigen’s baby belly as they posed for pictures.
She told PEOPLE at the event that Legend, who is performing a tribute to Lionel Richie at Monday’s awards ceremony, is “going to be the best father … he deserves a little girl.”
And what will Teigen be wearing to the show? She hasn’t decided.
“I grow two inches every 12 days … not that anyone’s counting,” the model, who makes her seventh appearance in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition this week, joked to PEOPLE on Friday. “We’re looking at two very different options. We want to have a moment and really have fun with it this year. I have a black option — a black lace — and then a white option. I’m still thinking.”
Foremost on her mind, however, is the biggest change of all — becoming a mom.
“I’m just looking forward to seeing her face, and having her in my arms so I’m like, ‘Oh my God, this is real!'” Teigen explains. “Right now it’s not real enough. I feel her [moving], but it’s still not real.”
