Baby makes three for Ginger Zee!

The ABC chief meteorologist and her husband, NBC news correspondent Ben Aaron, welcomed son Adrian Benjamin Colonomos on Saturday, Dec. 19, her rep confirms to PEOPLE.

Born via c-section at 11:05 a.m. in New York City, Adrian weighed in at 7 lbs., 8 oz. and measured 20.5 inches long.

“Meet my little love,” Zee, 34, posted on Twitter Sunday, announcing her son’s birth and sharing a family photo.

This is the first child for the couple, who revealed the sex of their baby during a fun Good Morning America segment in July. The parents-to-be uncovered the lids of large alphabet blocks, out of which popped blue balloons.

“We are elated to have the opportunity to be parents,” Zee said.

“Motherhood will absolutely be my most extreme adventure yet! Can’t wait to teach [him] all my favorite meteorology terms.”

In October, the mom-to-be celebrated the upcoming arrival of her baby boy with a festive pumpkin-themed shower.

“It was intimate, informal and everything I could have asked for. I felt so loved and supported,” she told PEOPLE.

Appearing on Good Morning America Tuesday from her hospital room, Zee said, “He’s doing very well. He’s so alert … today’s the last day in the hospital, we hope. He’s eating and he’s burping … doing all the stuff he’s supposed to do. Ben has changed 90 percent [of the diapers].”
