Temple University alums Dayton and Melanie Duncan record a shot-for-shot remake of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air's theme song to announce their baby news

Suburban Phoenixville, Pennsylvania may be a far cry from the ritzy Bel-Air — not to mention “West Philadelphia” — but that didn’t stop these two parents-to-be from paying homage to their favorite ’90s sitcom when they wanted to announce their pregnancy to friends and family.

With the help of Merryweather Films, Dayton and Melanie Duncan (who met as freshman at Temple University) recorded their happy baby news as a shot-for-shot remake of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air‘s title sequence.

And we have to admit, the farms and fields of the Phoenixville area are a really fun stand-in for the mansions and palm trees of the original.

Interestingly, the Duncans’ video isn’t the first pregnancy-and-Fresh Prince-related jawns (that’s Philly slang for “thing”) to pop up on the Internet in recent days.

On Wednesday, a Reddit user posted an image of Will Smith posing happily next to a woman holding a sign that read, “Emily’s Pregnant.”

All of which begs the question: Which TV stars will the children of today be enlisting to announce their major life events in 20 years?
