Aloe Blacc has officially bugged out.

The soul singer, 37, is helping a whole new generation of kids become Beatles fans by offering his take on “Rain,” a song that has earned a reputation as the classic band’s finest B-side.

The song debuts on Beat Bugs, a new animated series premiering on Netflix next month. The show features well-known artists offering their spin on classic Beatles tunes, which are wrapped into each episode of the cartoon that features five insect friends discovering the wonders of an overgrown suburban backyard.

Not only does Blacc debut the cover for the show, which will be released on Netflix Aug. 3, but also gets the full cartoon treatment, as animators have imagined Blacc as a friendly frog who hops through the muddy landscape during a downpour.

Blacc is far from the only well-known singer to participate in the Australian original, with Robbie Williams, Frances and The Lumineers also lending their voices for season one. Season two, out Nov. 18, will feature the talents of Rod Stewart, Jennifer Hudson and Tori Kelly.

Beat Bugs premieres on Netflix on Aug. 3, with the soundtrack also available worldwide exclusively on Apple Music the same day.
