The New York Jets player shares stories of life at home with wife Jessie and their two young kids

Eric Decker has definitely scored the mother (er, father?) of all touchdowns when it comes to his family.

The New York Jets player is dad to daughter Vivianne Rose, 2, and 10-month-old son Eric Thomas II with his country singer-songwriter wife Jessie James Decker. And though he’s certainly got his work cut out for him at times juggling a football career and parenting duties, life at home is a lot more fun with two kids.

“It’s great because they’re starting to play together,” Decker, 29, told PEOPLE Wednesday at the Superdry store opening in N.Y.C. “Eric is getting to an age where he can move around and hold his own with Vivi, so that’s been a fun transition to see from him being a baby to more of a toddler and on the ground playing.”

He adds that his older child has been a great big sister as she’s learning how to share with her baby brother.

“It definitely makes it feel like the house is complete when you have two little ones running around and playing,” Decker continues.

Aside from his happiness at seeing his kids becoming fast friends as they grow, the wide receiver shares that the way their individual personalities are developing is also fascinating and exciting for him and Jessie, 28.

“Vivi, right now, [likes] to strip down and just run around the house and say ‘I’m nakey, I’m nakey!’ So it’s kind of comical that she’s at that point,” he says. “She’s an actress and she’s so dramatic, and she says stuff that’s just hilarious — she just takes it up a notch, so to speak.”

His son might not be quite as vocal as his big sister yet, but there’s no doubt he’s being influenced by her — alongside everything else around him.

“[Eric is] just a happy kid. He’s always smiling, and you just want to watch and observe him because he is starting to explore and starting to discover things,” Decker shares. “But every time I look at him, he catches [my] eye and he just smiles and [it] melts your heart.

“So that’s something that’s [moved] my emotions,” the Superdry brand ambassador adds.

Decker also tells PEOPLE that Eric, whom he describes as “such a boy,” is getting close to “his next milestone” — walking — and that he has four teeth now.

“He just wants to wrestle and bite you and hit you,” he says.

And Vivianne is definitely more the charmer and entertainer of the family who, according to Decker, takes after her fashion-forward mom.

“I think she’s a Mommy junior,” he admits. “She’s very bubbly, very charismatic and hilarious. Every day she’s making us laugh, whether it’s something she says or something she does. She’s at the point where she’s a sponge, so anything you say, she’s saying. She loves to tease you, like, ‘No Dada, no Mama.’ She’ll give it back to you.

“She’s very happy and a great big sister,” the proud dad adds of his daughter.
