Celebrity Parents Elton John Says His Sons with Husband David Furnish Are the 'Greatest Thing In Our Lives' "There's no words to describe how much we love these boys. They're just amazing," the singer told Ellen DeGeneres By Staff Author Updated on December 2, 2020 11:36 AM Share Tweet Pin Email Sir Elton John has a lot to celebrate in 2016! In a recent sit-down with Ellen DeGeneres, the “Rocket Man” singer opened up about his role as a father and a husband … and really, just how wonderful life is while they’re in the world. “If you’d had said to me 10 years ago I’d be sitting on your show married to the man I love and have two beautiful children I would have said, ‘You put acid in my drink.’ But life throws you challenges and life throws you curveballs — great curveballs — and these two children have come along at a time I never thought I’d have children,” John, 68, said. “They are the greatest thing in our lives. There’s no words to describe how much we love these boys. They’re just amazing.” John and husband David Furnish, who recently celebrated their one-year anniversary of marriage, share two sons Zachary, 5, and Elijah, 3. The couple have been enjoying all that comes with family life — including the fun vacations! “It was the first time they’d been [to Disneyland] and they went on a lot of things including the tea cups which I hate!” John shared. “You see my pictures — I’m sitting there like that. And Zachary just laughing his head off. But we had a wonderful time there.” Being a part of a musical family, John admitted that his kids do sing his own songs sometimes, but have some favorites of their own. “I mean they love ‘Hotline Bling'” he said. “That’s their favorite song. And they love ‘Uptown Funk’ and Zachary likes ‘Kraftwerk’ which is a bit worrying.” — Christina Dugan
