Taylor Thomas Hasselbeck, the 4-week-old son of The View host Elisabeth Hasselbeck, is one of the first kids in the USA who is stepping out in the comfort and safety of the new Maxi Cosi Mico ($169) carseat. Elisabeth has this seat for Taylor in the Penguin color combination.

Maxi Cosi carseats are the top sellers in Europe and have been long coveted on American shores. Many parents are thrilled that they are finally available here. The Maxi Cosi Mico is most similar to the Cabrio that has long been available in Europe, but there are some modifications to the harness (it is a five point harness for the US market) and latch mechanism. The Maxi Cosi Mico meets and exceeds the highest safety standards both in the US and abroad. It’s got excellent high tech side impact protection and a seat that is lined in EPS foam. American consumers are loving that this carseat has a narrower footprint than many other US carseats, leaving room for other passengers, while still providing plenty of room and cushy comfort for newborns on up to 22 pound babies.

The Maxi Cosi Mico is easy to maneuver in and out of the car, thanks to a very sturdy latching system. It has seat indicators to assure you that you have attached the seat properly. It can also be secured in the car with a seat belt, in lieu of the latching base.

Carrying the Maxi Cosi Mico is very comfortable thanks to a multi position ergonomic handle and the relatively light weight of the seat. A multi position hood includes solar protection and the peekaboo sides allow you to see baby from multiple angles. Thankfully your infant’s carseat doesn’t have to be an eyesore anymore as the Maxi Cosi Mico comes in an array of fabulous colors.

Elisabeth also has a Quinny Buzz stroller in the limited Thumbprint Edition by Lela Rose which coordinates perfectly with her Maxi Cosi Mico in Penguin. Quinny Buzz strollers pair up perfectly with all Maxi Cosi Mico infant carseats, forming a total stroller/carseat system that works for new parents from day one. Other strollers that pair with the Maxi Cosi Mico include the Quinny Zapp, the Maxi Cosi Foray ($299 exclusively at Babies R Us) and Perle ($149 exclusively at Babies R Us) and strollers from the Bugaboo, Micralite Toro, and Valco lines.

Additional celebrity moms who have the Quinny Buzz stroller include Jenna Elfman, Mariska Hargitay, Gretchen Mol, Heidi Klum, Gwen Stefani, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Bridget Moynahan.
