New Dad DJ Khaled Says He's Not Tired Despite Lack of Sleep: 'That's How Powerful the Love Is' for My Son
"He wants to sleep on Daddy or Mommy, like on the belly," proud new dad DJ Khaled tells PEOPLE of his son Asahd
Shut-eye isn’t really a priority for DJ Khaled.
The new dad, 41, dished to PEOPLE in a Facebook Live chat Tuesday that while his 7-week-old son Asahd is no exception to the rule when it comes to all-nighters, it hasn’t fazed him in the least.
“I definitely don’t sleep. He wakes up every two to three hours and he doesn’t even like being in [his own bed]. He wants to sleep on Daddy or Mommy, like on the belly,” explained Khaled, who recently partnered with Palmer’s Cocoa Butter.
Continues the producer, “He wants to sleep with us and I love it. But it’s like, I’m not tired though — that’s how powerful the love is. I don’t have a tired bone in my body.”

Khaled and longtime love Nicole Tuck welcomed little Asahd on Oct. 23. And since then, the proud papa has shared lots of video clips and photos of his son on social media — as well as been open about his love and appreciation for his fiancée.
“The queen is beautiful. The queen is a blessing because she’s taking care of my son, especially when I’m not working,” he told PEOPLE in November of Tuck. “She birthed my son so all praise to the queen.”
“There’s nothing hard about it. Every moment I get a chance to be with my son is such an amazing moment,” Khaled added of parenthood. “This is something that you’re supposed to be grateful for and embrace.”
Continued Khaled, “He’s just like me. He has great energy. He’s got the glow of a young mogul — the glow of a young icon. He’s amazing.”
