Dierks Bentley has got his boy!
The country singer and his wife Cassidy welcomed their third child, son Knox, on the evening of Wednesday, Oct. 9, in Nashville, his rep confirms to PEOPLE.
Baby boy weighed 6 lbs., 12 oz. and joins big sisters Jordan Catherine, 2½, and Evalyn Day, 5.
“Knox met his big sisters Thursday morning,” Bentley’s rep tells PEOPLE. “Cassidy is doing great!”
Shortly after his son’s arrival, Bentley shared the news on Twitter. “Well … our boy Knox is here! About to have the best tasting cold beer of my life!” he Tweeted. “So proud of my wife. She rocked it. Crazy stuff. #beerme.”
Although Bentley — who announced the pregnancy in April and later revealed it would be a son — admitted to having “no idea what to expect” with the arrival of another baby, his daughters have him well-versed in all things boy.
“They love going camping and fishing. I do a lot of that stuff with the girls anyway so it’ll just be an extension of that with a boy. I love being outdoors so I’m just looking forward to passing that on to the girls and our son,” he told PEOPLE shortly before the birth.
