It’s a boy for first-time parents, Diego Luna and Camila Sodi, PEOPLE En Español confirmed with the new mother’s aunt, Laura Zapata.

In a statement, a rep for the new parents said: “Mexican-born actors Diego Luna and wife Camila Sodi are proud to announce the birth of their first son, Jeronimo Luna.”

Weighing 8 lbs., 2 oz., the baby was born Tuesday morning at 10:13 in a Los Angeles hospital. “The parents are thrilled and describe this as the happiest time in their lives,” said the rep.

Luna, 28, and Sodi, 21, met on the set of the film The Night Buffalo and wed in Mexico City on Feb. 5, 2007.

Luna’s other screen credits include Amores perros, Frida, Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights and The Terminal. Sodi’s are Niñas mal and Déficit, which marked the directorial debut of Guadalajara, Mexico-born screen heartthrob Gael Garcéa Bernal.
