'Bachelorette' Baby! Chris and Desiree Hartsock Siegfried Welcome Son Asher Wrigley

The Bachelorette alums welcomed their first child on Wednesday

A new little Bachelor has arrived!

Chris and Desiree Hartsock Siegfried welcomed their first child, son Asher Wrigley Siegfried, on Wednesday, Oct. 19, according to the former Bachelorette‘s Instagram account. Born in Seattle, Washington, E! News reports baby Asher weighed in at 8 lbs. and measured 20.5 inches long.

We are overjoyed to welcome the newest addition to our family … Born happy, healthy and strong! He already has us wrapped around his precious little fingers!” Hartsock Siegfried wrote to accompany a sweet photo of little Asher grasping onto his mom’s hand. “Thanks to everyone for all of the love and support throughout [my] pregnancy! It really means a lot and we look forward to sharing this new chapter with you all.”

The couple met on The Bachelorette season 9, where Hartsock Siegfried delivered the final rose to Siegfried, who exchanged it for a 3.5-carat Neil Lane engagement ring. They married in January 2015, in a fairytale wedding complete with a library-set reception and appearance by singer Matt White.

The Siegfrieds announced their baby news on Instagram in April, alongside a photo of the twosome pointing at her belly.

“We have a bun in the oven and it’s not the warm pastry kind!” Hartsock Siegfried wrote. “We are beyond excited to share that we have a little one on the way!! A new chapter we are both looking forward to.”

In August, the couple took to Instagram again to share the sex of their soon-to-arrive first child, holding up a baseball with a special message inscribed on it.

“We are so excited to share that we will be having a little baby BOY!” read the caption on Hartsock Siegfried’s photo, which also included their dachshund Frankie.

She added, “Our hearts are so full of love for our little man already and we can’t thank you all enough for the extra love you’ve shared during this special time!”

As the couple prepped for their baby boy, Hartsock Siegfried took to Instagram to share a photo of little Asher’s new room.

In October, the expectant mom shared her favorite pregnancy workouts.

“Another #pregnancy workout that has helped keep my hips open and legs active throughout. I’m #32weeks in the video but this is still an easy workout to do at home all the way up to birth. #fitpregnancy #legworkout #strongmom #stayactive #maternity #bumpin,” she wrote in the post.

Siegfried, 30, currently works as a mortgage banker. Hartsock Siegfried, who is a blogger, author and wedding-dress designer, has regularly updated her Instagram account and website with sweet baby-bump shots and details about her first pregnancy.

“Chris has been awesome,” Hartsock Siegfried told PEOPLE exclusively in June. “I wasn’t sure if he’d be nervous or anxious, but he’s so great. He’s really understanding. I’m so lucky.”

She added, “I think it only hit me recently that I’m actually pregnant and this is really happening. But I’m so excited. We just look forward to growing our family.”
