Denise Richards on her girly girls
What better way to spend Mother’s Day than on a shopping spree? Denise Richards and her two daughters Sam, 3, and Lola Rose, 23 months, did exactly that on Sunday at the Lola et Moi children’s boutique, where they also participated in a ‘Little Mommy Day’ tea party with Dayna Devon and her 1 19 month old daughter Emmi Reese. "Shopping days" with her mom Joni — who is currently battling an incurable form of kidney cancer — is a favorite childhood memory for Denise, and is a tradition she is anxious to pass on to her own girls.
It’s fun just to walk around and go to the little boutiques and have lunch and so we’ll just make it a girly afternoon.
Joni also instilled in Denise the belief that moms need to carve out time for themselves each day. Although she admitted to feeling guilty when work takes her away from the girls, she feels that having the experience ultimately makes her "a better mom." When they’re not shopping, Denise, Sam and Lola also indulge in another form of mother-daughter bonding: Playing dress-up!
We’ll dress alike. But I think it’s cute. I love wearing matching bathing suits or little dresses.
