Dad-to-Be Dave Annable Is Erasing 'No' From His Vocabulary
"Dave is meant to be a father," his wife Odette tells PEOPLE
Dave and Odette Annable are learning as they go.
“Everybody wants to share their story with you once you’re pregnant,” the actress, 30, told PEOPLE at the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund’s 2nd Annual Super Saturday L.A., sponsored by FIJI Water.
“There’s some really great advice that you can take in, but I think it’s the type of thing where it happens and you’re going to figure it out on your own, together as a family.”
The former Brothers & Sisters and Red Band Society star could not disagree more with his wife.
“I say give out our mailing address and whatever you got — we need it,” the actor, 35, jokes.

The happy parents-to-be announced their big news on Mother’s Day with a sweet picture posted to Twitter. “This year, I’m SO happy to announce that I got to join the party!” the Astronaut Wives Club star Tweeted.
When it comes to the couple’s parenting styles, the actress admits that she is going to play “bad cop” most of the time, leaving it up to her husband to be the softie.
“The word ‘no’ will be erased from my vocabulary,” the actor explains. “That’s going to be trouble for me.”
That doesn’t seem to worry the expectant mama one bit.
“Dave is meant to be a father,” she says. “He’s been talking about this ever since I met him. When we were first dating I said [to myself], ‘If I don’t end up with this guy, I want him to be the father of my children.’ No joke. So, we ended up together and now we’re having a baby!”
She adds, “2015 is shaping up to be one of the best years so far.”
