The Chew host gives PEOPLE an exclusive peek at daughter Philomena Bijou's adorable baby room

SOFT SANCTUARY

The Chew's Daphne Oz, here cuddling up with daughter Philomena Bijou, and husband John Jovanovic didn't find out if they were having a boy or a girl, so they were a little bit color-challenged when it came to creating a nursery in their N.Y.C. apartment. "I wanted it to be unique – not just all white or all cream." So the new mom teamed up with Bellini to create a custom palette of French blue and coral.

PLUSH BEDDING

"My taste tends to be pretty classic," says Oz. "But I wanted to experiment with sophisticated, but still baby-appropriate accents." So the TV host chose a dusty pink bumper and crib skirt with a slight metallic sheen. As for the custom blankie with Philo's initials that lays atop her Bellini, "It's my favorite thing ever!"

To incorporate Oz's love for animal decor, they added everything from an antelope rug to stuffed bears in lush shades of brown to complement her white Bellini changing table and dresser. "On the one hand, it's so rustic, but it's also beautiful. We live in the city – you're not going to see an antelope running around." The metal teardrop Jonathan Adler mirror is also a favorite. "When I saw it I was like, 'This has to happen!'" she says.

BUNNY LOVE

For Oz, it was a no brainer picking a stuffed-animal motif for her daughter. "I call her Philo-bunny, so we want bunnies left, right and center!" says the TV host, who found an adorable pair of rabbit slippers for her little girl to grow into. "All the stuffed bunnies are from Jellycat – I'm obsessed." Even sweeter? Her pint-sized monogrammed robe.

COZY & CUTE

A reading nook for Mom and Dad was a must-have in the nursery. "We wanted to maximize the space and give me some room to hang out," Oz explains. And the coral and gold Allem Studio pillow adds a "funky, tribal" vibe. So what's on the shelf? Classics like Goodnight Moon, alongside Rockabye Baby's pop-and-rock-inspired lullaby albums.

HAPPY FEET

When it comes to shopping for baby Philomena, "I'm indiscriminate," Oz says. "I love Saks, GILT and random Etsy shops. The outfits for little girls are the cutest!" So it's easy to see why these precious white and gold mini Mary Jane flats from Cole Haan perfectly fit in with mom's decor: "I love metallics – gold and bronze."
