Alfonso Ribeiro made a surprise move Monday on Dancing with the Stars — but it didn’t involve an encore performance of The Carlton.

The former star of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air announced that he and his wife Angela Unkrich are expecting their second child together in the spring.

The actor, 43, made the announcement after earning 36 out of a possible 40 points for a rumba he performed with partner Witney Carson.

“My son’s first birthday is today,” Ribeiro said of 1-year-old Alfonso Lincoln, who was in the audience with Unkrich. “As a wonderful present, my wife and I decided to get him a brother or sister. We’re having a baby!”

Ribeiro, who also exchanged a few jokes with host Tom Bergeron about recovering from last week’s groin injury, explained why he shared the good news on the ABC show.

“I wanted to announce it here,” he told co-host Erin Andrews. “I wanted to say thank you to all the fans and to say I love my wife.”

Ribeiro is also dad to 12-year-old daughter Sienna with ex-wife Robin Stapler.
