Colin Farrell Thankful to See None of Himself in James
After having kids, parents can often see parts of their own personalities and traits coming through in their own children. When it comes to 5-year-old James, however, actor Colin Farrell is thankful that — so far — he is seeing none of himself in his son, whose mom is model Kim Bordenave. To prove his point, in a new interview with PARADE, Colin jokes that perhaps he should "get a blood test," but goes on to share that he is actually thankful that his son is his "own little creature." Colin explains, "I remind myself of myself too much. It would be unfortunate if my son reminded me of me as well."
Although the 32-year-old actor does not see himself in James, he does enjoy seeing the innocence through the eyes of a child. As the father and son bond over playtime, Colin laughs that sometimes "there’s times I play with him and I do certain things," which tend to warrant odd looks from James.
Colin’s new movie — Pride and Glory — hits theaters October 24th.
