Whether she’s walking the red carpet or celebrating her baby shower, Ciara has managed to look flawless since announcing her pregnancy.

But while the mom-to-be — who’s now in her third trimester — doesn’t mind dressing up her bump, she admits pregnancy has put a limit on her glamorous get-ups.

“I like to be free and comfortable and relaxed. I don’t want to feel stressed. It’s already so much with your belly being so big,” she told PEOPLE at the Safe Kids Day event on April 5 in West Hollywood, Calif.

“When I have to get cute, I will get cute and put on some heels for an hour or two — and then throw those things off as soon as I get in the car!”

The singer may not be taking style tips from Kim Kardashian‘s pregnancy playbook, but the good friends have found plenty of other ways to bond over their babies. They were even spotted shopping together at Bel Bambini.

“When I tell you I’m obsessed with the Orbit stroller, I am OBSESSED,” Ciara says. “It’s so funny because my friend Kim was showing me how it works — it’s so convenient and you can do so much with it and it’s not too heavy.”

A cool stroller system isn’t the only thing the expectant singer can check off her registry list. According to her, she has already settled on a theme for the nursery — at least for now.

“All white. I have white and silver, basically. I want it to be a little chic,” she shares. “I’ll start to put the fun colors in once they start to get a little older — a few months older — so they can have a baby life. But I’m going chic with it right now, sorry baby!”

In October, Ciara and rapper-producer Future announced their engagement. But with most of her attention now focused on the couple’s baby on the way, Ciara admits wedding plans have been put on hold.

“Mentally, my mind is so excited about the wedding, too. It’s just a very eventful time right now,” she says.

But that doesn’t mean she and Future aren’t still discussing ideas for their pending nuptials.

“He lets me go and do my thing, but he still wants to oversee it all. I can go do step one through nine, but he wants to check in at step 10 and recap. So that’s how it is,” she explains.
